If your small business needs some fresh lead generations ideas, you’ve come to the right place (blog).  My friend Henry DeVries, a Lead Generation Expert, Speaker, and Author, shares his best 15 ideas for small business lead generation—in any economy.

1.    Find pain and educate prospects on how to kill it
2.    Recycle, recycle, recycle your advice
3.    Fill your Web site with free how to articles and white papers
4.    Write reviews of  all relevant books on amazon.com, barnesandnoble.com and list yourself as author/expert and affiliation
5.    Publish articles all over Internet with links to your Web site
6.    Sell how to articles to magazines  (Writers Market)
7.    Offer free how-to articles to magazines and newspapers
8.    Get a gig as a columnist and then review others books (request help through www.profnet.com)
9.    Send a tips article to the newsletters of organizations you speak at
10.    Teach a university extension class just for the catalog blurb
11.    Self-publish a book through POD (Author House, BookSurge, etc.)
12.    Create a brag sheet about the book by soliciting blurbs and publicity
13.    Write a suggested review of your book and send out
14.    Write a how to article and send out with book
15.    Write great cover letters to reviewers

My favs are Find pain and educate your prospects on how to kill it. Love that old, standby in any kind of business marketing, helping buyers solve problems.

The other key to Henry’s suggestions is,  w-r-i-t-i-n-g.  Sheesh.  Most of the small business owners I talk find it challenging to find the time to create the continual supply of content you need to stand out from your competition online.  Well, Henry does say “Recycle, recycle, recycle your advice.”  More about this in future posts.

Any ideas about solving the creating-new-content time crunch?  leave them below–all idea donations gratefully accepted.

Thanks for lead generation ideas Henry! You can find Henry’s blog here.
